What does my child need for the lessons?
A towel, goggles, bathing suit and some pool toys that sink (not required).
Do we, as parents, stay for the lesson?
We do ask that you are not at the pools edge, but yes, it is important for your child to get positive reinforcement from you. Children thrive on parental validity.
What if my child cries?
Understand that nearly all children cry at first since this might be a new experience for them. In most cases, it should stop completely in 1 or 2 classes. Relax and trust that the teacher can handle the situation.
What makes Swim2Me methods work?
A positive environment, repetition, and a no non-sense “mom” approach.
What happens if I do not have access to a pool?
You do need access to a pool since we come to you.
Can we schedule a lesson at a public pool?
Unfortunately, public pools do not allow outside entities to teach at their facilities.
Will my child learn to swim in the first class?
Without question, probably not. The first class is to get them in the water and used to the teacher and the pool area itself. Trust needs to be built and that takes time. Your child will be learning the first class but, you as the parent will probably not “see” it. Trust the process and your child WILL learn to swim.
What if my child cries and says that they do not want to swim?
I do not make any child swim against their will. Swimming is a life needed skill, but if the child is traumatized, they will not be able to learn, retain and succeed.
Do we, as parents, get in the water?
Parents do not get in the water unless the child is under the age of 1 ½.
How many Private lessons can I sign up for?
You can sign up for as many as you want as long as the instructor has the allotted days and times slots available.
What is the Private class cancelation policy.
We do not offer makeup classes. They are case by case per customer.
Do you need access to our home?
We do not need access to the home. We enter through your side gate, garage or wait for you to access your community pool area. (on occasion we may need access your home to use the restroom, but that is with your permission.)
Are there discounts available?
There are no discounts at this time.
When do I pay?
The price per class is $44 / $55 / $120 and is paid at the end of each week or class if you only have 1 class that week.
Is there a referral program?
Yes, there is! For each referral that signs up for at least 4 lessons you get one for free!
